  Give yourself a unique Andean experience by going from Cusco to Puno by private bus transportation. We have designed this trip to allow you to enjoy a memorable journey on the Andean altiplano and get away from the monotony of a long train ride. You will see beautiful Andean lakes, experience a walk on the last Inca's suspended bridge over the roaring Apurimac River and enjoy a wonderful lunch at the famous Hot Springs near La Raya Pass (4368 m). Visit and discover the pre-Inca site of Pukara, an important Andean civilization, before reaching your destination in Puno. We are not afraid to leave the main highway and take you to remote places to make this 12-hours trip something that you will remember for a very long time.


 




Program

06:30 - 09:30. After an early breakfast, we will leave the Plaza de Armas en route to Puno. After a two- hour bus ride, we will leave the main highway to climb up to the three-lakes area, a very scenic place showing the beauties of the Andean lakes. After taking a junction at the village of Yanaoca, we propose you to drive along a dirt road up through incredible landscapes. Watch the Andean indigenous people farm their land with their ancestral agricultural tools and raise their herds of llamas and alpacas. Experience the famous 28-meteres long Q'eswachaka suspension bridge made with the ichu (Andean grass).

10:30 - 12:30. Leaving Q'eswachaka, we will get back on the man Highway at Combapata and head off along to our lunchtime destination, the La Raya Hot Springs. Enjoy a hot bath in a magnificent environment of snow-peaked mountains and rugged landscapes.

14:00 - 16:00. After a relaxing lunchtime at the Hot springs, we drive a short distance to La Raya Pass where we reach the extensive Andean altiplano. Time to take a few pictures of this scenic spot. Resuming our journey, we reach the village of Pukara renown for its potteries. Visit of the archeological site of the Pukara civilization.

17:00 - 18:30. Leaving this pre-Inca site we will drive through the town of Juliaca before reaching the Folkloric Capital of Peru, Puno.
